Metro Roofing and Metal Supply Co., Inc. is a third generation family owned and operated business serving middle and east Tennessee, southern Kentucky, northern Alabama and northern Georgia.
Pete Spain and his son-in-law, Robert Link, founded the company in 1980, opening the doors at their Nashville location on 805 16th Avenue North.
Pete retired in 1988, and Robert along with his wife, Joyce have continued to operate and grow the business. With the addition their children, Kim Schwind, Kevin Link and Karen Dickerson, the business has continued to grow. That included expansion into the east Tennessee, and the northern Georgia market in 2008 with the opening of Metro Roofing and Metal Supply-Chattanooga..
They have developed working relationships with many of the finest Tennessee and surrounding area contractors, architects, and roofing specialists over the years. With their growth, they have had the opportunity to supply materials on projects such as The Hermitage, Brentwood HS, Hillsboro Elementary, National Guard and Hobb’s Building in Nashville. Materials supplied for corporations includes Vanderbilt University, St. Thomas Health Care, Austin Peay, Metro Government of Nashville, Nashville Electric Service and Nashville International Airport.
