It is said that everyone has a past – and with McMahon Truck Centers of Nashville’s Used Truck Specialist Matt Gantner, that past is anchored firmly in the iconic pastime of America – baseball! Before coming to MTC Nashville – Matt was a standout baseball player at High Point University, graduating not only with a degree in Business Management – but with school records for most hits and doubles in a single season – a record that still stands today!
Matt’s love of baseball and subsequent success at the sport wasn’t a big surprise to many – especially since his own father was a former standout second baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Gantner also had the good fortune of pinch-running for Hank Aaron in Aaron’s final Major League game on October 3, 1976. Gantner was elected to the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005, and still helps coach in the Milwaukee Brewers organization today.
