25+ Years Helping Companies Focus on Their Business, Not Their Trucks
Want to spend your time managing your core business, not your trucks? McMahon Truck Leasing helps you with that. A full-service leasing program has been a part of McMahon Truck Centers’ offerings ever since the McMahon brothers acquired the Charlotte truck center from Mack Trucks in 1996. The program is designed for commercial accounts (not individuals) and serves both locally-owned companies and large national corporations.
“We focus on people who need trucks,” said Fred Schmidt, Senior Account Manager at McMahon Truck Leasing in Charlotte, NC. “They have to have a vehicle to go up and down the road to distribute their products…from chickens to windows. It is a headache to run trucks and we try to reduce that.”
Full-Service Truck Leasing Covers Virtually Everything
McMahon Truck Centers recognize that trucks are simply tools for your business, not your business itself. The McMahon turnkey truck leasing program handles almost everything about truck management for you…while maximizing uptime. McMahon leasing includes:
- Acquiring the truck
- Configuring it for your needs
- Financing
- Personalized account management
- All maintenance (except damages)
- McMahon Mobile service, bringing PM and repairs to you
- Licensing
- Compliance
- Fuel tax reporting
- 24/7 roadside assistance—wherever you are
- A telematics system in the truck
- A rental if truck is down
McMahon Specs Premium Trucks for You
With McMahon Truck Leasing, you have access to strong, premium equipment with the latest tech. At the Charlotte McMahon, “we do mainly Mack Trucks, but also do Volvo, Freightliner, Hino, and some Isuzu,” said Schmidt. “We do anything from a small 16-ft. box truck all the way to a sleeper tractor. We do flatbeds. We do some dump trucks. If it helps our customers, we do it.”
McMahon Truck Leasing offers you trucks that will serve your business well and reflect well on your business. “We go in with a clean sheet of paper and spec the truck to what the customer needs. We make sure it’s going to be the most fuel efficient and performing at peak for their operation,” said Schmidt. “Most of our vehicles are new. We probably have the newest vehicles in town. We have backup safety cameras. Very large aluminum liftgates, versus small or heavy ones. Mirrors set up so you can see. Not just bare bones.”
Truck Leasing vs. Renting
Truck rentals offer you an immediate solution to temporary vehicle needs…to meet periods of peak demand, delivery transitions, or other special circumstances. If your business needs a truck/trucks more than three days a week, leasing will save you money over renting. Plus, “a box truck can be a billboard for your company. If you’re leasing you can get it customized specially for your operation,” said Schmidt.
Leading-edge Support Solutions
Bumper-to-bumper repairs and preventative maintenance is included with every lease. A sticker on the dash tells drivers who to call for 24/7 roadside help. And our McMahon Mobile Service brings repair and PM work to you.
McMahon provides rental trucks if your truck is down (for mileage charges only). And we do everything we can to maximize uptime for you, so you can keep your business moving. “We use the latest tech to stay in touch and give you total transparency on the service,” said Schmidt. “We’re not relying on phone tag and sticky notes.”
A National Service & Support Network
Taking your leased trucks on the road far from Charlotte, NC? We’ve got you covered. Charlotte McMahon Truck Leasing is part of both the NationaLease, and the Mack Leasing national network, so we are able to assist you from anywhere in the country.
The End of the Road
McMahon truck leases average 5-6 years—and then you can simply walk away, or start a new lease with a newer truck, or buy the truck you were leasing, or buy a different truck from McMahon…whatever your business needs. “Customers like that everything is handled for them and that we dispose of the truck for them, said Schmidt. “They don’t have to worry about being upside down on the residual. We don’t do lease to own. This an off-balance sheet lease. A closed-end lease. They do have option to buy truck at the end. We’ve had several customers extend their leases if the mileage is still low.”
