McMahon Truck Leasing(MTL), is proud to announce that our Senior Account Manager, Fred Schmidt, has yet again made the NationaLease Sales Masters Club for the 16th year in a row! Even in the midst of a global pandemic, Fred managed to come in one of the top spots of all salesmen in North America!

NationaLease is one of the largest full-service truck leasing organizations in North America with over 900 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Their Sales Master Club is a program which recognizes and awards the top salesmen in North America every year. Typically, only 20-30 salesmen out of 500 qualify for the club each year. However, with this year bringing challenges for most, only 10 people wound up qualifying for the club and Fred came in at a hot number 4! In previous years the Masters Club qualifiers go on an abroad trip each year to congratulate their hard work and achievements. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no 2021 rewards trip early next year, but we still feel it significant to recognize Fred and all he has done for our company throughout this peculiar year.

We spoke with Fred about some of the obstacles he has faced this year compared to previous ones, and what he has done to overcome them. “2020 has taught me how to adjust to the new sales environment, selling virtual instead of in person,” says Fred. This is something most people have been required to adapt to but not all have been successful with. Fred’s sales philosophy and long history of success in this industry have been some of the most beneficial things making his sales transition go smoothly.
